MIESCOR was my Covid-19 pandemic job after my portfolio team was let-go from the pandemic-affected hotel and casino industry.
Hired as a CIO, these were the times when budgeting was really challenging for any business,
but these were also the oppurtune times when IT Heads strategized economic balance for Work-From-Home solutions,
tougher cybersecurity and asset management for remote devices, and compliance to pandemic controls.
Meralco became compliant with Republic Act 11361: Anti-Obstruction of Power Lines (AOPL) Act of 2019.
Operational on October 17, 2022, I enabled a collaboration operations between Meralco and Miescor by delivering
a Kanban ticketing system and trained more than 500 users from Meralco Business Centers and Sector teams,
and Miesor CSRs and Site Inspectors.
Ultimately, this workflow system generates the Power Line Operator (PLO) Certificate PDF that is required when one applies for a Building Permit. Each certificate has a QR-code linking to its online verification.
Miescor DUS has issued 1,321 approved PLO Certificates at end of 2023 thru the Meralco Business Centers of 121 Meralco-covered Local Government Units (LGUs).

the PDF file of the PLO Certificate with QR code is being generated in the backend by this Visual Basic portable app I made in 2001.

Lookup Database for Meralco Pole Request-to-Attach (RTA) History.
Before I onboarded Miescor, hundreds of UAM agents were issued CAD-level laptops just to open large Excel spreadsheet files
of 11 years of RTA history. For me, this is an asset overkill for users who are categorized as entry-level.
I approached UAM management and I presented a web-based RTA Lookup Database which saved
Miescor further unnecessary cost of providing CAD-level laptops to UAM agents during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Ultimately, we achieved a secure Single Source of Truth for Meralco's growing historical RTA applications, instead of each UAM agent having their own rogue copies of the Excel spreadsheets.

Miescor EPC's core business is to construct power and telecom towers and stations
to enable Meralco and telecom companies to achieve towards the Philippine government's vision of an
electrified and connected Philippines.

Miescor SAP Server Upgrade and Migration into Nutanix VMs.
Miescor SAP Server Migration has been long overdue as its VM servers were already showing signs of failure for years.
As CIO, securing more than 10M of Capex budget to procure new servers was tough after the pandemic.

One time, with Miescor Legal Department, I strongly defended Miescor against Software Infringement accused by Bentley Systems.
I USED DATA versus the data that the lawyers of Bentley Systems presented to us.
"Where the Frieza did you get your data?", I asked as I presented to them Bentley Systems's own portal logs
where authorized Miescor Engineering users and the computers they login into are logged,
and the data they had were nowhere among those logs in the Bentley Systems portal.

First in One Meralco, Miescor complies with R.A. 10963: TRAIN Law
The BIR's Electronic Invoicing System (EIS), mandated by Republic Act No. 10963: TRAIN Law,
requires taxpayers to issue electronic receipts and invoices, and report sales data to the
BIR electronically, aiming to streamline tax reporting and enhance compliance.
Technically, the development was done by Meralco ICT side with Miescor as pilot for the whole Meralco group of companies.
On the side, I administered a Facebook page for developers from other companies who may need assistance in understanding the BIR-EIS java-based API.

As Head of Miescor ICT, and CIO for 4 Miescor subsidiaries, I released email newsletters regarding ICT campaigns. I admit i became all-in creative on this to keep the users interested on first glance. I succeeded by quickly receiving feedbacks and inquiries from all levels of users in Miescor.

I was on a roll, wasn't I?
Sadly, my ICT leadership services for Miescor and Meralco had to unfortunately end
as I failed. For a set of for-disposal PC cases, I failed to effectively defend my
LR case as I was frustratedly angry during the hearings. My accountability
decision as ICT Head to temporarily safe-keep 3 for-disposal emptied tower cases
in my car for a long weekend was misunderstood.
The tower cases were not allowed to enter into the office by Security and were left in the drivers office for days, as my guys missed to do due diligence of securing gatepass for the cases. I had to make that accountability decision on that Friday afternoon before the long holiday weekend, while my guys continue to secure the proper gatepass after the long weekend.
