As Technical Project Manager for Backoffice Operations Support Systems (BOSS) in G-xchange, Inc.,
I lead a team of Business Analysts and Developers to understand every transaction activity
of all GCash wallets, and supporting Compliance Department to make sure they are aligned and compliant to
(1) Bangko Sentral regulations;
(2) Republic Act 9160: Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2001;
(3) PCI-DSS standards and requirements, etc.
Hence, every successful and failed transaction any GCash account makes
must be accounted for and reconciled. Any suspicion of fraud must be detected and reported.
Every time GCash ideated a new product or signed-in a new partner, my team was there to understand
their wallet activity. We studied how SIMs are activated and churned to
manage every wallet instance of every subscriber mobile number.
No single centavo of GCash should be unexplainable!
GCash Portal Strategy
Primarily, my BOSS Team manages the integration strategies between 3 web portals: Employees' BOSS intranet applications,
Partners' extranet portals (prefunding, remittance), and Subscribers' portals (mobile apps, GCash Online). Special care must be done to secure the GCash transaction logs
being shared between 3 user portals.
BOSS Process Automations
Project after project, product after product, portals are delivered for Support Groups to assist in their daily tasks.
These included sweeping and adjusting real GCash amounts to and from GCash partner wallets as part of the signed Memorandum of Agreement (MoA)
which also included daily Statement of Accounts being sent.
Project OCTOPUS!
Coined as Project OCTOPUS, one GCash BOSS Portal platform to serve them all, like one Octopus head with 8 tentacles representing each Support Group departments.
Achieving agile rapid development and deployment. Supporting the GCash business operations when it needs it. Focusing on the Meat rather than on the Skeletons.

Before being absorb as a Regular employee to lead the BOSS team,
